SALSA

Earlier this afternoon, my wonderful boyfriend and I made some Mexican restaurant style salsa. Or well, or version of it. It's super yummy! I don't have any photos of the process, but here's the recipe:

1 28oz can of crushed tomatoes
4 TBS minced jalapeno slices (from the jar)
2TBS jalapeno juice (from the jar)
2 garlic cloves, minced
1/4 C finely chopped onion
4 TBS fresh minced cilantro
1 tsp sugar
2 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper

Mix it well in a blender, let sit for 30 minutes and you're ready to have some of the best salsa you will ever have.

We also bought some new hair cutting shears while we were out and I'm dying to try them out! I hope all is well.

Ugh.. back pain..

Oh, acorn candles..

So, I've been busy making these cute little candles. They float, smell great, and crackle when they burn! And they only last about 20-25 minutes so you don't have to worry about leaving them burning while you go out.

I made about 40 last night while watching television. And I'm going to try and make a few more tomorrow. And in case you were wondering.. I am putting them on my etsy! They'll be perfect for a spa night or a romantic night, like maybe Valentines Day. Here is the finished product in action.

Makes a really good last minute shipping tag! I've been so worried about getting everything else done this past week that I totally forgot about tags. Oh well, I think my homemade ones work just as well!

So, sorry about the lack of pictures on this blog. I'm in the middle of finding an apartment with a boy who is always going back and forth between his house, mine, and school. Once we get settled in somewhere I am going to have so many pictures to share with you guys. Especially since we're thinking about doing a 365 project. We are both very bad at taking pictures of anything we do. So it seems like a nice way to chance that.

I'm thinking about doing a giveaway on here. Did you hear that? BLOG GIVEAWAY. Buuut, I can't do anything like that until I get atleast 50 followers.
