My first sale!

I am so excited! I sold all my hippo lightswitch covers! How amazing? I was so broke, and worried, but this happened. Thank God! AND Andrew got the gamestop job! This is truly the best day ever.

Now, I just have to sit here until 4 and go to work, ugh.

Oh, hi there..

Cool fall weather. I have needed you. I absolutely LOVE this time of year. And it's always marked by Wal-Mart putting out their stock of Halloween candy. Which I'm in desperate need of. I almost bought a few bags on my last trip grocery shopping, but I think I'm going to try my best to wait until it's actually October.


Well, anyways, I'm off today, and tomorrow. So I've already planned a trip to the craft store to pick up some supplies. I'll be posting some new items on my shop in a couple of days or so. I have a really awesome idea, but I don't know if I'm going to be able to do it this week. But it will be crafted sooner or later.

Things are really starting to look up. I just hope Andrew gets this job. Day to day life will be soo much easier once he starts getting a paycheck. We've been dying to go back to The Silvertron Cafe, but they are a little pricey. So hopefully in a couple of weeks, we'll be dining there, instead of over frozen pizza.

Bleh

I woke up feeling so gross. Ugh. I'm pretty sure I slept in a really odd position. But anywaaays..


I've been posting a new item on etsy almost everyday. I have a few plans to make something new today. Hopefully it will turn out like I want it to and I can add it to my shop ^-^ *fingers crossed*


Soo, back to this morning. I woke up, walked into the living room, and started reading the news when there was a knock on the door. Andrew being shirless, ran off into the bedroom. I opened the door and peeked out to see  police man. Can I just say I was freaking out. Hard. I had no reason to be worried, but still. He asked for my name and I told him. He asked for Andrew's name and asked for him to come to the door. So Andrew went to the door and the cop asked if we had a dog. Of course I'm standing in the back of the room holding our kitten Pixel. Andrew replied, "We don't really like dogs here." Anyways, long story short. Some guy said a man in a red car took his dog and brought it inside our apartment and that we still had it.

Um, no.


What an odd thing to believe. I don't hate dogs, but I definitely wouldn't have one in this tiny place. So silly.


Well, I guess I should be going. Andrew is looking at me with sad eyes, because he "is starving".

Labor Day Weekend

Is a pain. Especially when you work retail. We don't even have a sale going on and people are just charging up in that place. It's insane.

Anyways, I added a really cute and nifty little keychain card holder/coin pouch. I almost want to keep it for myself.

Andrew and I went to the local grocery store just to get a few things. And okay, back up. I looove tacos/burritos. That sort of thing. But I hate hate hate beans. And almost 99% of frozen burritos have beans. So I always get super jealous that Andrew can buy a weeks worth of groceries for like $5. All because well, he's not super picky like I am. But anyways, we're in the frozen food aisle and he's looking at the burritos and low and behold he finds me a plain beef one! It's spicy, but hey, I'm okay with that. I'm almost excited for it, aha.

I am soo tired. I have worked a lot this week, plus been making things for my etsy shop. I can't wait for an off day, which is Tuesday. It needs to hurry up and get here!

It's Friday

Finally. Payday. Though all of mine went straight to rent. :< Bummer. I worked from 11-7 today and my feet are killing me. I need better shoes. But comfy shoes are always expensive and extremely old lady like.

Andrew's dad is coming up tomorrow and taking us out to eat. I can't wait! I'm pretty sure were going to Golden Rule. Which is like maybe a mile down the road, and it always smells like heaven when you drive past.

So, I'm going to work on some zipper pouches tonight, and hopefully have them posted by the end of this weekend. I'm going to try some animal shaped ones, as well as some plain rectangle ones. I'm also going to be working on some more sweater headbands. Which, btw, are perrrrfect for late fall/winter. They will keep your ears so toasty!

Well, I shall be getting to work on those pouches.

The first of the month..

Is definitely my least favorite part of any month. Paying rent is such a bummer and I'm normally broke for a week or two afterwards. Ugh, suuucks. It would be soo much better if we could just buy this place. But I really doubt we would even want to live here longer than a couple years. I mean, we are planning to move to London. Seriously. I can't wait to start saving money for it! :>

Anywho. I've come up with a prototype for a bath scrub. I really like it. I just need some oil with fragrances like lemon, honeysuckle, orange, and maybe something a little less summery. After I get some more supplies I'll be posting some for sale on my etsy. So keep an eye out!

Pixel has been a super sweet kitty the past couple of days. He is so precious. Every morning I get woken up by a squeaky meow followed by him pouncing on the bed, laying on my chest and nuzzling up to my face. He still bites from time to time, but he is really starting to calm down. I bought a bee suit just so we could take some pictures of him in it, and it is the cutest thing. He hated every minute of it of course.

Well, I've got to go get some food. Cause we are completely out. :<

Happy Birthday to me!

I'm officially 22! I feel the same. But then again age has never been a big deal to me.

I got soo much done today. There are several new items in my shop, and I will be adding a few more throughout the next couple of weeks. So please keep checking back!

Andrew bought me Yoshi's Island for the DS for my b'day. Considering it was favorite game when I was a kid, I looove it! I've been playing it like mad, and I'm almost done with the game completely.

Anyways, I am super excited that I've gotten everything set up for the most part and I really hope this all turns out really well.

But it IS my birthday and I should probably spend some time with Andrew and Pixel :3

SO..

It's finally Thursday! Thank goodness because I am OUT of money. Even though as soon as my check hits my bank account I've giving 80% over to Andrew for rent. UGH.


Buuut Monday is my birthday! YAY! And we're going to Gadsden to see my family and get some free meals. Meg and Lindsay are going to be in some pictures modeling some of the things I have made. They don't know I've been working like mad over this blog and etsy shop for the best month. It has been so much work and I can only hope it all works out.


Andrew and I just went to the Piggly Wiggly right down the street and got some cereal, ice cream, mint cookies, and a 7up cake. So I am definitely going to go pig out on that for the remainder of the evening. Oh, and work on some headbands, of course.

Monday!

Got off work at 2, which is awesome by the way. So, Andrew and I went wondering around town. I bought a looot of supplies and a cat toy, ha. As soon as I got home I made 4 flower hair clips and 3 braided yarn headbands. Can not wait to wear them this winter. I'm posting them on my etsy shop soon. And will be selling them for just a couple bucks. Pretty awesome, right?

Yes, I thought so.


Oh yea! My birthday is a week from today. But my present came in the mail today, so Andrew went ahead and gave it to me. OMG, I love it! It's a DS version of my favorite game of all time, Yoshi's Island. I played until level 3. And I must say, I was a bit better when I was younger.

Pixel just sneezed! :3

Oh hello there! I finally have my etsy shop up. So exciting! I can not wait until I get all my items posted and actually get it going for good. I need to plan a trip to the fabric store soon.
